Today I was thinking about those 200-1 people who got killed and there was no one to film their death so there is no name of them in Youtube or any other place. You just know Neda and that is not all.

The sad reality is that people can not feel empathy for the crowd. Despite the mind's will to sympathise only when we 'know' the induvidual can we take them into our hearts and truly care. Although it is an abomination that the other 199 (and counting) will disappear from our conscience, faceless and nameless, that Neda has been singled out, become the poster child, ensures that none of us will forget too soon. I am not saying that it is right or fair, but that we still live with the limitations of our human nature.

It is important never to forget lest we make the same mistakes again... and yet, eventually, we always do.
